Video Journalism

I was always old school. I loved writing, loved seeing it in print, and loved whatever small picture would go along with it. As of four years ago, the journalism industry changed into something completely new.

Video Journalism:

We see this every day on the news and entertainment channels. But it wasn't until I took a multimedia class when I really understood what goes into creating a video in order to tell a story.

In that class, I was responsible for putting together a news story that would only be 4 minutes. I chose to depict a college love story; explain what it takes to have one, what are the challenges the relationship would face and what is the psychology behind it. I had to take pictures, shoot video and record sound in order to create 4 minutes of (hopefully) an entertaining product. This was the result: A College Love Story
