Photojournalism

I was always old school. I loved writing, loved seeing it in print, and loved whatever small picture would go along with it. As of four years ago, the journalism industry changed into something completely new.

Photojournalism:

Today, every story has a picture. Not just an ordinary picture, but a picture that could stand alone without an article. Photojournalists today are capturing the essence of stories with a single click. Slideshows are capturing tragic events like the War in Iraq or Hurricane Katrina, and even bringing to life happy stories like the birth of a child or a real life love story. Programs like SoundSlides are enabling photojournalism to be taken to a whole new level.

 The Big Picture is an example of photojournalism at its best.
